We discussed the importance of princesses and heroes to handle their feelings like princesses and heroes, expressing their feelings appropriately, using methods to calm down when angry or scared, how to be a good friend and how to have respectful manners.
We sang the children’s favorite songs, taught them to waltz, curtsy, bow and perform “princess and hero poses,” played freeze dance with charades mixed in. Provided circle dancing. Everyone had a turn in the middle. We performed a coronation ceremony for the bday girl and everyone said something about her that makes her a special princess. We played parachute games, and provided enchanted face painting. Every child had a magical adventure that made them feel special!
